In its Sala Maggiore, the museum displays a silk-painted banner depicting Saint George and the dragon. It dates from the beginning of the 19th century or, more likely, the end of the 18th century, belonged to a confraternity from Voltaggio and depicts Bormida's patron saint.

The exterior structures and interior furnishings of the Cappella della Madonna del Carmine were recently restored. Beneath its old entrance portico, the chapel hosted Princess Margherita Teresa D’Asburgo in 1666, daughter of King Philip IV of Spain, during her journey to marry the Austrian Emperor Leopold I. The former oratory of the Maria Maddalena confraternity dates from the 17th century and now houses the parish theatre; it is also the headquarters of the Pro Loco of Bormida.

Palazzo “La Ferriera” takes its name from ironworking, the town's most important activity between the 17th and 19th centuries. The municipal sferisterio was built in 1986; it hosts championships in various categories, including Serie B, as well as several summer tournaments.

Water activities and marked trails

At Laghetto di Romana, professional and recreational anglers can go sport fishing. The lake has an equipped picnic area and a new bar with a veranda overlooking the lake. The statue of the Madonnina del Carmine can be reached via a marked trail and offers a beautiful view of Piano Sottano.
