It leads through olive groves and then reaches the ruins of Barbazzano. These ruins of a village of very ancient origins are located in the hills above Fiascherino.

Lawrence stayed in Fiascherino from 1913 to 1914: in 1913, he moved with his companion Frieda into the villino Gambroiser and remained there until June 1914.
