This makes it a route that combines physical activity with distinctive terrain formations.

The Sentiero Canalone del Ciolo begins at the Ponte Ciolo; it ends at the Sentiero Le Foggie and is a 736-metre-long trekking route in Gagliano del Capo. The Ponte Ciolo is approximately 30 metres high, 60 metres long and 10 metres wide. The structure and the path beginning there provide a clear geographical reference for planning your day.

Karst caves and former routes

The Menhir dello Spirito Santo stands beside the chapel that gives it its name. Gagliano del Capo is also one of the municipalities included in the Costa Otranto–Santa Maria di Leuca–Bosco di Tricase Regional Natural Park.
