In the immediate surroundings of Rezi are the ruins of a hilltop castle from the 13th to 14th century on a 418-metre-high hill; only a few sections of wall and the protective battlements remain.

Hiking

The ruins of Rezi Castle can be reached on foot from the car park via the KL trail marking; the route takes approximately 15 minutes and is about 800 metres long.

The Rezi–Zalaszántó section of the Országos Kéktúra avoids Meleg-hegy, but partly follows the Rezi educational trail.

Landscape and Orientation

Rezi is situated on the Keszthely Plateau: forests surround the town to the west, south and north, while the eastern slopes are covered with vineyards.

The built-up area of Rezi is practically a dead end; the road to the village leads in only from the south.

Rezi has frequent bus connections to Keszthely, as well as a secondary road near Zalaszántó to Sümeg. This secondary road is located about one kilometre from the settlement centre.

Rezi's most important cultural and historical attraction is the preserved ruin of Rezi Castle from the Árpád era, situated on the white dolomite rocks of Meleg-hegy.
