Landscape and history
Agár-tető, Gyöngyösi Csárda, Szigliget Castle, Fekete Castle and the ruins of the Pauline monastery are located in the wider regional surroundings of Csabrendek.

Csabrendek is described as a multi-centred settlement that emerged through the connection of the former settlements of Csab and Rendek; the central part corresponds to the old village of Rendek.
At the eastern foot of the settlement's church hill stands the ruin of Rendek Church. It has been preserved partly as foundation walls and partly incorporated into a Baroque church building.
In terms of landscape, Csabrendek lies at the last foothills of the Bakony.
Southeast of the village, near Csáb puszta, lies the ruin of the Csabi (Alcsabi) Church. Csabrendek is connected to the Csabi line; its village was first mentioned in 1233.
From probably the 14th century onward, Rendek was a market town and served until 1482 as the seat of a district court of Zala County; at the same time, the town is described as a bustling weekly market town as well as a regional county and noble centre.
