Nyírtass is a Hungarian municipality in the Kisvárda District, in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County.

The town is located 13 km south of Kisvárda, near National Road 4.

The documented history of the settlement dates back to 1200, when Tass was an important royal possession. The town was later renamed Nyírtass on 22 December 1908. This also makes Nyírtass interesting for travellers who are interested in specific local history.
