Nottinghamshire: Holiday apartment between Sherwood Forest and history

Nottinghamshire reveals impressive traces of the past in a distinctive landscape. In 2003, the only known Ice Age rock art in Great Britain was discovered at Creswell Crags. The Southwell Trail is 7.5 miles long and runs along the former railway line of the Midland Railway. It leads from Southwell to Bilsthorpe and can be used on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. Nottinghamshire also has more than 550 miles of rural and urban cycle routes.
