Greatworth combines a rural landscape with a rich building history. Farming and hedgerows shape the surrounding countryside; the parish church and several historic houses reflect building periods from the 13th to the 19th century. The Greatworth Circular adds a walking-focused dimension. Together, these features link architectural details with the landscape and practical questions about farming.

Building History in Several Layers

St Peter's Church is a 13th-century parish church with additions from the 14th and 17th centuries; it was restored in the 19th century. Its west tower dates from the 14th century, has three stages, and ends in a crenellated parapet. This brings several periods together in one building, while the tower's three tiers create a clearly articulated silhouette. The church is listed as a Grade II* building.

Greatworth Hall is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, extended in the early 19th century. Its early 19th-century frontage features a porch with fluted Doric columns and a straight entablature. The columns are vertically grooved; the entablature forms the horizontal top above them. These details make the porch's classical order clear and add a classically inspired accent to the house's building history.

Manor House is a house dating from the early 19th century that incorporates remains from the 17th century. The Old Rectory retains 17th-century fabric, including stone tracery windows, a fireplace with hearth, and a timber frame between the bays of the building. Glebe Farmhouse dates from the mid-17th century. Its features include a three-light stone tracery window, as well as chamfered beams and joists in two first-floor rooms. While Manor House incorporates older fabric into a later house, The Old Rectory and Glebe Farmhouse retain specific named features from the 17th century.

The concept behind the Greatworth Hall Farm Education Centre combines curriculum-based learning with practical experiences related to farming, food provenance, and landscape management. Up to four practical activities are planned for the day. This approach differs from looking at historic buildings: the focus is on farming processes and where food comes from, alongside caring for the landscape.
