Architecture
The Maison de la Culture Le Corbusier was designed in exposed concrete to adapt to the site's topography and visually continue the slope of the rock face.
The Église Saint-Pierre - Le Corbusier is located in the vicinity of Firminy. Construction work on it resumed in 2004 under the direction of José Oubrerie and was completed in 2006; its nave has a reverberation time of eleven seconds.
The Unité d’Habitation is accessible only as part of a guided tour; a reservation is required.
Industrial history and museums
The Mine Témoin des Bruneaux is a faithful reconstruction of a Loire mine. The materials used for it come from shafts in the Saint-Étienne and Ondaine regions. The Ecomusée des Bruneaux includes a nail-making workshop and a bakery.
The Musée des Sapeurs-Pompiers de la Loire displays more than 150 fire engines from different eras and explores the history of firefighters over two centuries.
