Culture and history
The thermal spring of Monestier-de-Clermont is now called “source Saint Paul”. It is located in an octagonal building at the end of the Allée des Portes du Trièves.
Inside the Église Saint-Pierre, a life-size wooden statue of Christ can be seen. Its stained-glass windows from the late 19th century depict scenes of the apparition of Mary at La Salette. The Église Saint-Pierre probably originated from the chapel of the former Clermont monastery.
A gateway marks the entrance to the courtyard of the Château de Bardonenche. The château acquired its present appearance in the 18th century. La tour Vallier was completed in 1925 by the miller at the time in memory of his son Lucien Vallier, who fell in the 1914 war.
