Nature
Gresse-en-Vercors lies entirely within the Parc Naturel Régional du Vercors. Almost half of Gresse-en-Vercors’s area lies within the Réserve Naturelle Nationale des Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors. Alpine ibexes can easily be observed on the rocky ridges above Gresse-en-Vercors.
The “Les sources de la Gresse et le Pas de la Ville” route begins at the foot of the alpine ski slopes of Gresse-en-Vercors.
The Odyssée Verte is an elevated circular trail on walkways suspended between trees, with information panels, games and interactive objects. The suspended Odyssée Verte course runs up to 10 metres above the ground and can be used without a climbing harness. The walkways of the Odyssée Verte are not accessible to pushchairs or wheelchairs.
Culture
The Fête de l’Alpage traditionally takes place in Gresse-en-Vercors every year on the weekend after 15 August. It includes demonstrations, shepherds with their herds and guard dogs, cow fights, activities and exhibitions. The Fête de l’Alpage also includes a producers’ market.
