Culture
Les Hauts Forts 2 is one of Avoriaz’s first buildings and was designed and built by the architect Jacques Labro in 1967–1968. Its tiered, rugged architecture is inspired by the geological folds of the mountain.
By decree of 18 February 2025, Les Hauts Forts 2 was listed as a historic monument. The protection covers the façades and roofs, as well as the communal and publicly accessible interior areas of the building.
Water and Leisure
Aquariaz is a water experience area in Avoriaz that is open in both summer and winter. It features a heated outdoor whirlpool at 33 degrees with views of the valley, as well as a gently flowing watercourse lined with tropical trees.
The Piste des Dromonts is a shared sledding area next to the Dromonts ski lift and is suitable for families and friends.

In winter, people get around the snow-covered streets of Avoriaz on skis; pedestrians, skiers and sledges share the space there.
