The Île de Miribel-Jonage area, designated as an ENS, is home to a great diversity of habitats and species linked to the history of the Rhône river system. The Île de Miribel-Jonage natural area, also designated as an ENS, features a discovery trail with ten stations showcasing various river landscapes connected to the history of the river system.
Local Life
The weekly market takes place all year round every Saturday morning on Place Charles de Gaulle. Each week, there are at least twelve vendors, including fruit and vegetable sellers, a bakery, a butcher, a cheese shop and a fishmonger.
Parc de la Sathonette is open on Saturdays and Sundays: in summer, from 1 April to 31 October, from 2 pm to 8 pm, and in winter, from 1 November to 31 March, from 2 pm to 6 pm.
Culture and History
The Église Saint-Maurice is a remarkable building typical of the Côtière in the old village; its walls are made of pebbles. It is open for services only on special occasions.
The washhouse on the square dates back to 1883. The wooded grounds of Château de la Sathonette offer visitors the opportunity to go for a walk there.
