Culture and History
The Tour de l'Horloge, also known as the Porte Sarrasine, dates from 1630 and marks the site of the walls of the second medieval fortification.
The Chapel of the White Penitents of Saint André was built outside the town walls in the 13th century. In Berthoire, the foundations of buildings and houses, as well as remains of vats and wine presses from the Roman village of Pignans, are still visible.
The collegiate church of Pignans has been documented since 1080; a papal bull from 1152 attests to its importance.

Water and Park
Picnic tables are available at the Domaine de Berthoire, allowing visitors to enjoy the park all day. The park features streams, a fishpond, fountains, and canals.
Pignans Plage at the Domaine de Berthoire in the town centre offers free swimming as well as supervised activities for learning to swim and aquagym.
Pignans Plage includes a 20 m × 10 m pool, a paddling pool, and a 7 m-high water slide.
Location and Connections
The A57 motorway crosses the municipality of Pignans from east to west between Toulon and Le Luc.
Pignans railway station is served by the Marseille–Toulon–Les Arcs–Draguignan line.
Paths and Landscape
From Pignans, the GR9 footpath leads to the Notre-Dame des Anges Chapel; along the way, it largely follows the Way of the Oratories, which was used as a pilgrimage route.
In the background of Pignans, the Massif des Maures offers impressive landscapes and a variety of hiking opportunities.
