Espace Valberg Aventure offers five treetop courses. The activities include suspension bridges, zip lines, monkey bridges, swings, fixed beams and flexible ladders in a larch forest setting.

Valberg’s mountain biking trail network comprises more than 100 kilometers of routes for different experience levels. The Luge d’été summer toboggan run has two tracks called “Loup” and “Marmotte”. Valberg’s ski area offers 90 kilometers of slopes for alpine skiing. Trout fishing is possible every summer at Lac du Sénateur.

Nature and culture

The DOME in the heart of Valberg brings together facilities for culture, discovery and nature and is designed for all audiences and seasons. The Maison du Parc in Valberg is open year-round and provides visitors with information about the flora and fauna of Parc National du Mercantour. It also offers activities to raise awareness of nature and the environment, demonstrations and nature games.

The Sentier des pionniers is a historical circular trail through Valberg that presents the development of the resort through illustrated information panels as well as original photographs and documents. The Sentier des pionniers also includes a presentation of the church’s history and three belvederes designed as historical viewpoints.

Along the Sentier Planétaire, visitors can see monumental works inspired by Land Art. The trail offers several educational, contemplative and relaxing stops related to astronomy. The Chapelle Saint-Jacques de la Rouille in Péone was built in the mid-17th century and is the oldest chapel in the former district of Valberg.

Valberg has held the Réserve Internationale de Ciel Etoilé designation since 2019.

Valberg is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from the Côte d’Azur.

Events and gastronomy

For 11 years, the Rando Gourmande has been an established event in Valberg for mountain experiences, conviviality and regional gastronomy. Astro Valberg is a three-day astronomy event with stalls, games, exhibitions, observation sessions, planetarium sessions and night hikes.
