Le Figaret-D\'utelle: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Hiking

The hike from Saint Jean la Rivière to the hamlet of Le Suquet is approximately 8 kilometres long. It is classified as a sporty hike and takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes in total. Along the way, it passes the rural St Pierre chapel. A vehicle shuttle between Saint Jean la Rivière and Le Suquet is required for this hike.

Nature

Downstream from the Le Suquet water intake, the Vésubie is home to brown trout, bullhead, southern barbel, European eel and souffia. The hike to Le Suquet passes through an area characterised by a contrast between deciduous vegetation on the shady slope and Mediterranean-influenced vegetation on the sunny slope.

Within the municipality of Lantosque, the plain of Le Suquet lies at an altitude of approximately 300 metres. In the wider area around Le Suquet, the hike to the Granges de la Brasque connects the chestnut groves and meadows of Pélasque with larch and fir forests near the Granges de la Brasque. Also in the wider area around Le Suquet is the Vallon de Bagnolar, a canyon with a succession of cascades and enclosed water pools in a narrow gorge.

Access to the Vallon de l’Infernet is via the RM 2565 to Le Suquet; there is a car park near the Auberge.

Visitor information

The Vallon de l’Infernet canyon may be used daily from 1 April to 31 October. June to September is considered the recommended period for the canyon.
