Golfe Juan: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Golfe-Juan is situated on a bay with 3.5 kilometres of coastline and fine sandy beaches.

Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Golfe-Juan has this coastal town in mind as a travel destination.

Coast and Harbour

To the east of the Vieux Port, in the direction of Cannes, lies Plage du Soleil, also known as Plage Picasso. Plage du Midi stretches from Port Camille Rayon along the coast towards Juan-les-Pins.

The Vieux Port itself is a small, traditional Mediterranean public harbour near the centre of Golfe-Juan.

Nature

On the hills above Golfe-Juan, close to the beaches, lies the Parc naturel départemental du massif du Paradou. The area covers 12 hectares.

The Massif du Paradou offers sweeping panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, the Îles de Lérins, Cap d’Antibes and the Fourmigue lighthouse.

The Massif du Paradou is owned by the Conservatoire du littoral and managed by the Departmental Council of Alpes-Maritimes.

Culture and History

The Parcours historique du port de Golfe-Juan is installed along Quai Tabarly and conveys the history of the Vieux Port through historical photographs.

The Route Napoléon connects Golfe-Juan with Grenoble and follows the route associated with Napoleon’s journey in March 1815.

A stele at the harbour of Golfe-Juan bearing the inscription “ici débarqua Napoléon le 1er mars 1815” commemorates Napoleon’s landing. On 1 March 1815, Napoleon landed in Golfe-Juan; this marked the beginning of the episode known as the “Hundred Days”.

The Ecomusée de l’oranger bigaradier is located in the first distillery built in Golfe-Juan in 1904 and focuses on the harvesting and processing of products from the bitter orange tree.

In a playful and educational tour, it displays stills, a machine for extracting essential oil and other historical equipment. Visitors can also follow the production of goods according to traditional, time-honoured recipes.

Activities and Routes

In Golfe-Juan, visitors can enjoy sport fishing, snorkelling excursions, as well as introductory and exploratory scuba dives.

The 2.6-kilometre section called “Les Mirandoles” supplements the “La Littorale” coastal cycle route.
