The long-distance hiking trail GR51 runs through Courmes. The village is also the starting point for hikes to the Plateau de Saint-Barnabé.

Nature and Trails
The hike from Courmes to the Puy de Tourrettes leads to the Plateau de Saint-Barnabé, a viewpoint with views from the mountain peaks to the coast. Another hike to the Pic de Courmettes offers panoramic views over the Préalpes and the Mediterranean coast. The Cascade de Courmes is 20 metres high.
The Puy de Tourettes mountain is located in the immediate vicinity of Courmes. The Colle Martine and Colle des Pouis peaks are also nearby. The Saint-Valentin mountain is also located in the area surrounding Courmes.
The Gorges du Loup running below Courmes serve as a refuge for numerous animal and plant species. 15% of the area is covered by the Natura 2000 inventory and 66% by the ecological ZNIEFF inventory.
History and Culture
A fortified settlement named Courmes is mentioned in the first half of the 13th century. The medieval village of Courmes was formerly located north of the present-day settlement at Les Combes; ruins remain there.
The Sainte-Madeleine church dates from the 17th century and has been very well restored. During the activity “Randonnée pierre sèche avec Cap Azur”, Jean Capitant accompanies a hike to discover the rural dry-stone architecture typical of the Préalpes d’Azur.

The Fondation Maeght museum is located in the vicinity of Courmes. In the wider regional area around Courmes are the Château de Villeneuve-Loubet, the Musée National Fernand Léger and the Musée international d'Art naïf Anatole Jakovsky.
