Culture and History

One construction phase of the Abbaye Notre-Dame-de-Lure has been dated to 1165. The Abbaye Notre-Dame-de-Lure is designated as a pilgrimage site. The church and the outbuildings of the Abbaye Notre-Dame-de-Lure were partially protected as historic monuments by decree of 30 July 1980.

The Église Saint-Étienne dates from the 15th century and has a pentagonal choir.

The permanent exhibition on the Nécropole de l’Abadie presents explanatory panels and grave goods recovered during excavations. Burials in the Nécropole de l’Abadie took place from the middle of the 3rd century to the 8th century.
