Culture

The Camp romain du Câtelet is situated at the top of a hill bordered on three sides by the Oise and incised streams. A transverse ditch separates the Camp romain du Câtelet from the rest of the plateau. In the area of the camp in Mondrepuis, the metal lid of an ancient vessel, several urns and Roman medals were discovered.

The Church of Saint Nicholas in Mondrepuis features modern architecture. The former Church of Saint Nicholas was destroyed during the Second World War; the present church was rebuilt in 1958. The parish church of Saint Nicholas also contains a pair of polychrome-painted wooden statues of bishops, possibly Saint Eloi and Saint Nicholas.

Å’UVRER in Mondrepuis consists of an architecture SCOP and an association, which jointly centre around the sole venue, L'Archipel. L'Archipel is gradually being transformed into a venue for architecture, heritage, crafts and the environment. Å’UVRER organises meetings, exhibitions, conferences and other community events there to bring the venue to life. A permanent exhibition is dedicated to the history of the venue and designs for a more desirable future.
