Vouvray-sur-Loir: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nature and Trails

The 4.3 km circular route “Le circuit du Coteau” starts at the Loir in Coëmont. It runs along the “caviers” and follows the edge of a slope that was once covered with vineyards.

The moderate circular hiking route “Le circuit de Sainte-Cécile” is 15.4 km long and takes approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. An 11 km variant joins the GR®35 north of Vouvray. The route passes through tuffeau limestone plateaus and former vineyard landscapes. From the Lavoir du Pissot, walkers have a view of Vouvray-sur-Loir and its church.

The 5.2 km hike “Par les étangs de Vouvray” passes through the ponds of the municipality of Vouvray-sur-Loir and is suitable for people with reduced mobility. The GR®35 leads to Coëmont; the Moulin Pousset is located on the left of the route there. The GR®35 also passes near the church of the village of Vouvray-sur-Loir.

Culture and History

The Église Saint-Martin has a Romanesque base, while its gable dates from the 12th century. The Lavoir du Pissot has a rare, sloping and raised stone washing trough. In the past, winegrowers used this washhouse to wash their bottles and barrels.

The Lavoir de Coëmont was restored in 2025 and inaugurated in September 2025 during the European Heritage Days. The Musée de la Projection Cinématographique displays more than 80 projectors and provides information about cinema.

A park on the banks of the Loir is open to visitors to the Moulin Pousset for picnics upon request. A tour of the mill includes four levels and the mill equipment from the 1930s.
