La Milesse: holiday apartments and houses

La Milesse offers three hiking trails ranging from 4 to 8 km in length. One of these routes is the blue hiking trail Chemin bleu. It runs along the Antonnière stream and past the La Milesse body of water.

Nature

The La Panière wetland mainly consists of a willow carr characterised by grey willows. A survey conducted in 2024 identified 30 bird species in the La Panière wetland. 33 bird species were observed in the La Terroirie wetland.

History

The Church of Saint-Pierre in La Milesse was founded in the 11th century and is characterised by rubble masonry made from Roussard sandstone. The Croix de Beaumanoir is located near the Church of Saint-Pierre. It dates from 1636 and bears the coats of arms of the lords of Milesse.

The historic sites of Abbaye Saint-Pierre de la Couture and Abbaye de l'Epau are located in the vicinity of La Milesse. The castles Château de Sourches and Château de Montfort-le-Rotrou are located in the wider region surrounding La Milesse.
