A notable historical landmark in Montabard is Raveton Castle: it replaced an earlier castle recorded in 1581 as being surrounded by moats. The castle complex comprises a park, a chapel, an enclosed area, an agricultural building, a motte, a moat and a garden.
The parish church of Saint-Martin in Montabard also bears several historical layers. Its patronage was transferred by Hugues de Grantmesnil to Saint-Evroult Abbey in 1050. The church tower dating from the 12th century was replaced by a tower porch in the third quarter of the 19th century; a window opening from the 11th century has survived from the original church.
The La Touche manor house was built at the beginning of the 17th century for André de Monteclerc (1600–1657). The residential building of the La Touche manor house was remodelled in 1772. The present-day Le Logis manor house and its outbuildings were built in the 17th century for the Bertin family.

The Atelier des Joparelles is run by the painter and ceramicist Marie-Claude Blanchong. There, she gives ceramics classes to children and adults.
Regional produce
At Domaine de la Touche, apples are collected by hand and pressed according to their ripeness in a screw press. The apple juice matures in wooden barrels into cider before being converted into Calvados through distillation. Domaine de la Touche offers tours by appointment.
Nature
Montabard is part of the Natura 2000 site “Haute vallée de l'Orne et affluents”. Its river basin and flood zones provide habitats for species of European interest.
