The Baie de Sienne is a designated natural area that extends, among other places, across Agon-Coutainville. The Pointe d’Agon is also a protected natural area. The eastern shore of the Mare de l’Essay is wild and rich in biodiversity; numerous bird species can be observed there.

Routes and activities
The GR223 runs through Agon-Coutainville from the north along the coast to the Pointe d’Agon, then follows the Sienne eastwards. It also makes it possible to explore the Baie de Sienne along the western coast of the Cotentin.
The beaches of Coutainville, Les Passous and the École de voile can be reached on foot via the promenade.

The Club Nautique de Coutainville offers land sailing on the sandy beaches of Agon-Coutainville. The club also offers supervised trimaran trips to explore the coast.
Golf
The Golf de Coutainville has an 18-hole course measuring 4,924 metres. Since 1925, it has combined a links course by the sea with bocage landscapes.
Coastal heritage
The Saint-Evroult church in Agon has a white bell tower that formerly served as a landmark for sailors. The Agon sundial near the church is engraved on five sides of a cube made of Montmartin stone.
The La Poulette beach hut has stood in Agon-Coutainville since 1926. The Phare de la Pointe d’Agon was inaugurated in 1856 on the site of a former fort.
The Petit musée du littoral et de la mer presents equipment and regulations relating to tidal-flat fishing, as well as models and games. In summer, it offers trips to collect clams.
Getting around
In summer, Agon-Coutainville can be reached by the Coutances-les plages bus route operated by Nomad, a transport service of the Normandy region. The Mare de la commune has information panels, picnic tables and shaded areas.
