In Saint-Sylvain, historical heritage sites meet opportunities for cycling and running, as well as several parks. The original Saint-Sylvain church was built between the 13th and 16th centuries. Since 14 December 1914, the Saint-Sylvain parish church has been partially protected as a historic monument.

Culture and History
The place of Bignette, also known as Coquerel, is likewise part of the commune’s documented history: a Roman settlement is said to have existed there.
Château de Coupigny, a castle, is located in the vicinity of Saint-Sylvain. The surrounding area is also home to Château d'Assy, Château d'Outrelaize and Château de Canon, each of them a castle.
Cycling and Running
The Saint-Sylvain pump track near the football pitches is intended for bicycles, kick scooters and skateboards. Helmets are mandatory on the track.
The Association des Randonneurs Cyclotouristes de Saint-Sylvain, or ARCSS for short, offers road cycling, mountain biking and gravel activities. It is open to all these forms of cycling; helmets are mandatory for the rides.
The first Saint Sylvannaise took place on 9 March 2025. The two races, over 8 km and 12 km, ran through the streets of Saint-Sylvain and along paths in the communes of Soignolles and Valambray.
Parks and Nature
Parc de la Vallée lies in the heart of the commune of Saint-Sylvain and was created by redeveloping the former SIAM site.
Since 30 March 2022, sheep of the Ouessant and Landes de Bretagne breeds have been used in Parc de la Flatière, covering approximately 12,000 m², to maintain the green spaces and promote biodiversity. In 2021, four beehives were installed in the same park as part of an educational initiative.
Location and Wider Area
Saint-Sylvain lies on the transport route between Caen and Falaise. The wider regional area includes the beaches of Plage de Cabourg, Plage de Riva Bella, Plage du Temple and Plage du Casino.
