Magny-en-Bessin: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture and history

The Château de Magny-en-Bessin is characterised by classical architecture and a symmetrical design, is privately owned, and is located on the intermunicipal road from Bayeux to Arromanches. The Château de Magny-en-Bessin and its park have been listed as historic monuments since 31 May 1946. In March 2016, the château was partially destroyed by two consecutive fires.

Magny-en-Bessin is home to a former seigneurial prison dating from the 18th century. The building of the former seigneurial prison has been used as a residential house since 1986.

The Église Saint-Malo was built in the first half of the 13th century. Its floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross with five bays. A two-storey bell tower rises above the choir: the first storey is equipped with buttresses, while the upper storey has coupled arched openings. The pulpit with confessional was created between 1849 and 1857.

The church furnishings include the double-sided processional banner “Virgin Mary and Bishop”, which was listed as a protected object on 8 January 1985.

Renting a holiday apartment in Magny-en-Bessin is one possible form of personal travel planning.
