The Musée des Augustins is dedicated to local history and folk traditions. On display are 19th- and 20th-century French paintings, as well as paintings from the Southern Netherlands. The collection also includes paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries, including works from the circles of Van Dyck, Rubens and Teniers. Temporary exhibitions are held at a rate of two exhibitions per year. The museum is located on the ground floor of a monastery building constructed from the 17th century onwards. The procession giants of Hazebrouck can also be seen there year-round; the exhibition is complemented by a reconstruction of a traditional Flemish kitchen with various everyday objects.

Culture and History
The Maison-musée de l’abbé Lemire was built in 1899 at the foot of the bell tower of the Église Saint-Éloi. It presents a reconstructed version of Lemire’s Paris parliamentary office, with the original furnishings. Books and DVDs about Abbé Lemire are also part of the collection on display there.
The Église Saint-Éloi has three naves and a façade tower in the tradition of Flemish churches. Five wooden altars in the church are classified as Monuments historiques. The Stations of the Cross were officially commissioned from Lucien Jonas in 1925. The Église Saint-Éloi in Hazebrouck was built in 1432 and is considered the oldest monument in the city.
Green Spaces
The Chapelle de l’ancien couvent des Capucins was built in 1854 as part of the Flemish-Belgian Capuchin monastery in Hazebrouck. The Église Notre-Dame was built in 1959 on the site of the former church. Its crypt contains preserved parts of the furnishings created by Gustave Pattein; these furnishings are listed in the inventory of the Monuments historiques.
The Jardin public was inaugurated in 1929 and offers play facilities for children. It also provides shaded areas for reading or family picnics. In the centre of Hazebrouck lies Parc Louis-Warein, a publicly accessible, semi-natural green space covering more than 4,000 square metres.

The “Hazebrouck au fil du temps” tour takes you through Hazebrouck’s imperial architecture, religious heritage and green spaces. It starts in front of the Hazebrouck tourist office.
