Le Travet: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Church of Saint-Étienne in Le Travet houses a repoussé silver chalice from the 17th century. On 21 May 1991, it was placed under protection as a movable historic object. The archaeological remains of Le Travet also include fragments of Roman tiles. A very old route between Saint-Jean de Prémiac and Rasisse passed through Le Travet.

Nature

The biodiversity records for Le Travet list 61 bird species, all of which are protected. In 2015, 75 animal species were recorded in Le Travet.

Hiking

The Le Chemin des Vallées circular trail is 7.8 kilometres long and begins at the Le Travet picnic area. The trail descends from the Le Travet plateau into the Dadou Valley. There are several remarkable viewpoints at the starting point of Le Chemin des Vallées.

Cycling

At the annual Fête du Travet, the local population gathers in the Le Travet community hall for a convivial and festive event. An announcement for the Fête du Travet mentions a mountain bike tour with a choice of distances of 27 or 37 kilometres; another village festival announcement mentions a Randadou mountain bike tour.
