Nature and Trails
The “Circuit du Grand Chêne” walking trail runs through Fabas; it begins at Place Pierre Tajan by the Fabas village hall, leads through forests and vineyards, and reaches the Lacs de Fabas.
The “Des vignes en Frontonnais” cycling loop begins at the Fabas village hall, is 14 km long, and is designated as an easy tour lasting approximately 1 hour; it includes visits to wineries.
Fabas can be combined with the personal wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Culture and History
The Church of Saint-Barthélémy in Fabas was destroyed during the Wars of Religion. Historically, Fabas was known for this church; it stood next to the present-day cemetery. In 1834, the church was rebuilt at its current location in the centre of Fabas.
Wine
The family-run Château Fayet winery in Fabas has been offering red, rosé and white wines for more than 20 years. It belongs to the AOP Fronton appellation and primarily uses Négrette, as well as Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Its range includes AOP and IGP red and rosé wines, dry and sweet white wine, fruit juices, and homemade non-alcoholic sparkling drinks.
