Saint-Thomas: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Circuit du Peyrigué circular trail also begins in the centre of Saint-Thomas. The circular trail is 9.7 kilometres long.
Culture
The Fosses du Fort are the remains of an old fortified village, which is thought to be one of the oldest fortified villages in the area. The fortified complex is believed to date from the middle of the 12th century. A preserved pond is the only remaining part of the former moats.
The Église Saint-Barthélemy was rebuilt between 1882 and 1892. Its bell tower has eleven bells. It was rebuilt as a traditional village church and remodelled over time. It is open to the public, but is generally closed outside services and can mainly be visited during Masses or events.
History
Saint-Thomas was a village of craftspeople with five windmills, three brickworks, oil presses, shoemakers, wheelwrights and, above all, potters. Pottery production in Saint-Thomas ended in 1920 after four centuries.
Savès-Dourne pottery was produced in Saint-Thomas and Rieumes. The last Dournes made in Saint-Thomas came from Jean Lascours's workshop in 1920.
Prayers were offered in the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Pitié for agricultural prosperity and the yield of grain and vines.

The area around Saint-Thomas comprises forests, cultivable Boulbènes and clay-rich Terrefort.
Getting around
The “SAINT-THOMAS – Mairie” stop is served by the Sabonnères–Fontenilles–Toulouse routes. The Église Saint-Barthélemy is less than a ten-minute walk from this stop.
