In Labège, Maison Salvan is a contemporary art centre run by the city and, at the same time, an artists’ residency with a particular focus on visual art. Events

The Scientilivre Festival is an annual festival of science and literature organised by Délires d’encre for children and adults. It takes place every year at the Centre des Congrès Diagora Labège and offers workshops, conferences and talks with authors.

Culture

The Musée du Pastel in Labège explores the history of pigments and pastel in south-western France. Its workshops give visitors the opportunity to handle pigments and create their own shades. It also demonstrates the traditional processing of the pastel plant into precious powder; this practice has been documented since the 17th century.

The Labège-Village market takes place every Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the car park of the Centre commercial de l’Autan. Local producers, livestock farmers, craftspeople and traders gather there; products on offer include peaches, traditionally made sausages and organic vegetables.
