The Église Saint-Michel d’Ayzieu has a square half-timbered bell tower crowned by an octagonal slate spire. Tourist information and guided tours are available at the church.
The Église Saints Pierre & Paul du Pin in Ayzieu is a Romanesque church dating from the 11th century that was rebuilt several times during the Middle Ages. The remains from Roman times in Ayzieu include tegulae and rubble stone. Ayzieu’s historical relics also include a former church, Saint Loubert, which was previously called Saint Luperc.

Nature and trails
The Étang de Paillot et bois de la Clotte de Manon wetland also extends into Ayzieu, where it supports a well-established population of European pond turtles (Emys orbicularis).
The Circuit des Vignes circular trail passes through the vineyards around the village of Ayzieu and climbs to the highest point in the municipality. This circular trail offers views of the Pyrenees mountain range.
Regional products
The conversion of the entire Domaine de Saoubis to biodynamic farming began 25 years ago. The Domaine de Saoubis in Ayzieu produces Armagnac as well as liqueurs sold under the name “Dame Douce”, made with Blanche d’Armagnac, including orange, lemon, rose and lavender varieties.
