The Jardin de Berchigranges in the hamlet of Berchigranges in Granges-sur-Vologne lies at an altitude of 650 metres in the heart of a granite quarry, where streams and cascades are surrounded by local flora. 400 plants from the Northern Hemisphere are cultivated here.
Nature
Granges-Aumontzey is located in the Parc naturel régional des Ballons des Vosges. The Hébergement collectif Simone Veil is situated in a green valley through which the Vologne flows. Brown trout can also be found in the Vologne and its tributaries.
Hiking and Fishing
The 148-kilometre-long GR de Pays „Le Tour de la Vologne“ is a hiking trail for discovering the Vologne and includes Granges-Aumontzey. Granges-Rando organises hikes on Mondays or Sundays according to a calendar established at the beginning of the season. If snow conditions permit, Granges-Rando also offers snowshoe hikes.
At Étang du Rayau, anglers can fish for carp, tench, brown trout and rainbow trout. Rivers and streams also feature a 700-metre-long no-kill fishing section.
Culture
The local musical tradition dates back to the Harmonie de Granges-sur-Vologne, founded in 1903. In Granges-Aumontzey, Les Gens d’Air performs at events including a spring concert, the Fête de la Musique, a concert on 14 July and the Saint Nicholas concert.
