Pareid is one of the municipalities affected by the A4 motorway.
Culture
The fortified Romanesque Saint-Rémi Church in Pareid has loopholes and a bell tower with a wooden fighting gallery (hourd). The Romanesque bell tower stands beside a 14th-century choir; the nave was converted for defensive purposes in the 15th and 16th centuries. The church also features two Flamboyant Gothic windows. Saint-Rémi was partially destroyed during the First World War and restored from 1930 under the direction of Maurice Delangle.
The cemetery beside Saint-Rémi Church in Pareid contains the tomb of Louis Leloup. Dating from 1883, it is a sculpted limestone monument featuring a cross, ears of grain, pansies, and a pearl crown.
The stained-glass ensemble depicts historical scenes of Clovis I, the baptism, and Saint Remigius.

Pareid’s annual brocante attracted 130 exhibitors to the village streets.
