Saint-Chaptes: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Nature

Along the Gardon is the Chemin de découverte du Gardon, an educational trail with information panels about the environment and flood risks. The trail also includes a wildlife observation post on the Gardon. Route 1 of the Chemin de découverte du Gardon stretches for 3.5 kilometres across 9.5 hectares of protected natural area.

Saint-Chaptes also lies along two stages of the GR®700 Chemin de Régordane: one leads from Ners to Saint-Chaptes, and another from Saint-Chaptes to La Calmette.

Culture and history

The historic architectural heritage includes the Château de la Tour, a listed historic monument whose architecture dates back to the 12th century. The landscaped park features plane-tree-lined avenues, a maze of topiary boxwood and a 13th-century keep. The Château de la Tour can only be visited by prior appointment.

Events

The Marché des Sorcières takes place every year on 1 November as a craft market with a medieval or fairy-tale theme. It offers make-up workshops and a banquet for which reservations are required.

Leisure

Green Park is an animal and leisure park covering more than 5 hectares, with games, freely accessible attractions and a water area with two large slides. It also has a vegetable garden and a plant maze.
