Serviès-En-Val: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
The Château de Serviès-en-Val has been listed as a historic monument by decree of 17 February 1926. The complex consists of an elongated building, the so-called keep, as well as residential buildings with three corner towers: two are round and one is square.
Culture
The stone wayside cross, Croix de chemin en pierre, has been classified as a historic monument since 2 July 1911. The 16th-century stone cross is made of sandstone. On its front, a coat of arms depicts a stag, the emblem of the Lords of Serviès; on the back, there is a blessing hand. A cross described as a grave cross or wayside cross is located by the Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul.
La Coop’Art – Centre d’art contemporain offers temporary exhibitions and a library. In the area around Serviès-en-Val runs the Sentier sculpturel, a 6-km art and hiking trail in the Hautes Corbières.
Nature
Serviès-en-Val lies in the centre of the Val-de-Dagne, at the entrance to the Corbières and south of Mont Alaric, on a hillside. The village is also located in the Natura 2000 bird protection area FR9112027 “Corbières occidentales”.
The Natura 2000 area “Corbières occidentales” near Serviès-en-Val features diverse vegetation and distinctive, albeit low-lying, rocky ridges that provide suitable nesting sites for cliff-nesting species. Serviès-en-Val is also located in the ZNIEFF Type 2 “Corbières centrales”, an ecological area with documented importance for fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, insects and flowering plants.

Wine
Serviès-en-Val has a winegrowing industry producing red and rosé country wines from the Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet grape varieties, as well as white wines from Chardonnay. Cellier Joseph Delteil welcomes visitors to its tasting rooms to sample its range of products.
At Cellier Joseph Delteil, the winegrowers of the Terre d’Expression cooperative have been united since 1932; the cooperative has more than 190 winegrowers.
