Nature and coast
The Étang de Pissevache lies between the Clape and the sea. Seawater enters the Étang through a natural grau; it is also fed with fresh water by underground springs in the massif and by the Aude River.
The coast of Saint-Pierre-la-Mer and the Étang de Pissevache are considered areas of exceptional biodiversity in the Parc naturel régional de la Narbonnaise. The Étang de Pissevache is also of interest for wildlife photography, particularly for observing wading birds, waterfowl and other birds that settle on the Étang at different times of the year.
The Rocher de la Vallière extends into the sea and divides the large sandy beach that stretches as far as Les Cabanes-de-Fleury. The Rocher de la Vallière is said to have been named by Louis XIV in honour of his mistress.
The classified Massif de la Clape is directly accessible from Saint-Pierre-la-Mer and offers views of the sea.

Markets and events
In summer, the Marché des Embruns consists of 40 colourful chalets where traders and craftspeople set up their stalls. The open-air market of Saint-Pierre-la-Mer has more than 200 traders every morning.
Espace Beach in Saint-Pierre-la-Mer is a sandy venue for physical and sporting activities for young people. Various tournaments and other events take place there during the season.
Activities
In the area between Saint-Pierre-la-Mer and Fleury d’Aude, there are 135 kilometres of signposted mountain-bike trails through the Massif de la Clape. The La Littorale cycle route leads from Saint-Pierre-la-Mer to Narbonne-Plage and onwards towards Gruissan and Narbonne.
In the immediate vicinity of Saint-Pierre-la-Mer, the Domaine de l’Oustalet offers pony rides year-round for children aged 2 to 10.
