History
The residential building of the Ferme de Giez has been listed as a historic monument since 9 December 1999. The Ferme de Giez is a Cistercian monastic farm; its construction phases date to the second half of the 13th century and the first half of the 14th century.
After the Giez estate was received as an alms donation around 1127, it belonged to the property holdings of the Cistercian Abbey of Fontaines-les-Blanches until it was sold as a national asset during the Revolution.
