The Église Saint-Martin de Bleury is a historic monument dating from the 11th century. Inside, there are wall paintings depicting the miraculous Mass of Saint Gregory the Great. These wall paintings were definitively classified as historic monuments by a decree dated 10 December 1908.
History and Village Life
The Lavoir de Mireloche is fed by springs and is accessible. It dates from the 19th century, possibly from an earlier period. Today, it is a place for walks and relaxation in a green setting.
The Bleury Discovery Trail tells the story of everyday village life through fieldwork, traditional occupations, and local events; the events mentioned include “la passée d’août”. The trail uses fourteen information panels under the theme “Bleury in the 1930s”.
Pilgrimage Routes
The section of the Via Sancti Martini in the Eure-et-Loir department is signposted in both the Paris–Tours and Tours–Paris directions. Near the Viaduc de Bleury, the Via Sancti Martini meets the Charles Péguy route. The Via Sancti Martini is intended to enable hikers to walk in the footsteps of Saint Martin and to make the Martinian heritage visible beyond the religious heritage.
Hiking
The “Autour de Bleury” hike is an 8 km circular route with a stated duration of 2 hours and 40 minutes. It follows the former railway line for a distance of 300 metres. The hike is recognised by the Comité Départemental de Randonnée Pédestre d’Eure-et-Loir and is marked in yellow. It starts at the church.
