Culture and History
The present-day washhouse in Courgis was inaugurated in 1874. It is an impluvium washhouse designed by the architect Dumont from Chablis.

In Courgis, the reliquary containing a thorn from the Holy Crown of Thorns is venerated every year on the last Sunday before the Feast of the Assumption in August.
