Brives-Charensac: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

On the Loire, Brives-Charensac combines distinctive bridge structures with traces of historic routes and a varied local calendar. The Pont de la Chartreuse spans the river at a point where two sections of the Roman Voie Bolène, which crossed the Velay, came to an end. It has been classified as a historic monument since 21 February 1914.

The Vieux pont de Brives also tells the story of the town. Due to its carefully executed masonry and the surviving spurs, it is attributed to the 14th century; it has been partially ruined since the 18th century. The “Au fil de Loire” fresco is located at the Place de l’Église and received the “Pinceau d’Or” award in 2009. The Médiathèque Le Moulin aux livres regularly presents free exhibitions along the stairway.
