At Château Le Camplat, the guided tour lasts one hour. It covers the appellation, the surrounding region and the history of the estate; depending on the season, it also addresses the vines’ vegetative cycle. The tour includes a visit to the wine cellar and a family collection of old cooperage tools. Wine

Domaine Maison de la Reine grew from a 3-hectare family vineyard into the 31-hectare estate it is today; the fourth generation is already waiting in the wings. It also offers the “Défis de la Reine” activity, a roadbook course in which participants solve escape-game-style puzzles. In summer, the “Métro-Boulot-Château” programme includes Friday evening gatherings featuring the estate’s wines, craft beers, food trucks and changing entertainment.

Culture

The Église Saint Mariens is one of the ten churches in the Cavignacais sector of the Cubzaguais parish.

The Pont Napoléon spans the Saye and was formerly used by National Route 10.

Nature

Bois d’Anglade is a municipal forest of almost 60 hectares on the northern edge of the Blayais, along Route Départementale 137 in the area of Cavignac and Saint-Mariens. A well-maintained fitness trail runs through the mixed pine and oak forest and is partly accessible to people with reduced mobility. Small recreational ponds line the route; on site, they are used for observing dragonflies and birds.

The route via La Vallade begins at the Médiathèque car park behind the church in Saint-Mariens. It alternates between vineyards, fields and wooded paths, reaches a viewpoint at La Vallade and then descends towards Château de la Reine.
