Plesovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Plešovice lies at the foot of Mount Kleť and is primarily a crossroads of hiking trails between Zlatá Koruna, Kleť and the Dívčí kámen castle ruins.
Paths and Routes
A 2.4 km red-marked walking route on the Way of Saint James leads from Zlatá Koruna to Plešovice. The Fritsch Trail also reaches Plešovice via the red-marked route. For cyclists, Cycle Route 1127 runs through Třísov, Plešovice and Zlatá Koruna railway station.
Village Square and Architectural Heritage
Plešovice has a circular village square with a pond and the Chapel of the Coronation of the Virgin Mary. This chapel is an immovable cultural monument; the village also has a Baroque bell tower. The farmsteads around the village square are arranged approximately with their gabled façades facing inward toward the square. The historic farmsteads preserve echoes of their original architectural style, and some feature decorated gables.
Culture and Townscape
Plešovice is home to a miniature model of a South Bohemian village, which Jiří Bauer built in his garden. The miniature village includes a working mill, a barn, a chapel and an inn. It is freely accessible to everyone interested.
Transport
Plešovice railway station is served by trains on the corridor via Zlatá Koruna, Český Krumlov, Kájov, Horní Planá and Černý Kříž to Nové Údolí.
