The cadastral area of Bedřichov u Horní Stropnice belongs to the Novohradské hory Nature Park. The nature park protects a largely preserved mountain and foothill landscape of considerable natural and aesthetic value.

Nature

Bedřichovský potok is designated as a Site of Community Importance (SCI) with site code CZ0313092. The section of Bedřichovský potok from the bridge on the Horní Stropnice–Rychnov u Nových Hradů road to the reservoir near Konratice is a very significant habitat of the brook lamprey (Lampetra planeri).

Culture and History

The Chapel of Our Lady in Bedřichov dates from 1857 and is a listed building. Near the chapel, on a slope beside the path to the Bedřichov settlement, there is a stone, stele-shaped wayside shrine dating from 1886.

Cycle Route and Circular Trail

The Paměti Novohradska cycle route passes through Bedřichov. The Paměti Novohradska educational circular trail also passes through the village: it is 54 km long and connects 19 stations with information boards.

Transport Connections

Road II/154 runs through Bedřichov. The village is also connected by bus to the municipality and to Benešov nad Černou.
