Dýšina: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Dýšina, the village monument protection zone has been protected as a historic monument since 22 September 1995. It is considered one of the most significant ensembles of masonry vernacular architecture and 19th-century rural Neoclassicism in the Plzeň Region.

Culture and Village Character

The cultural assets of the village monument protection zone include the church, the rectory and the large preserved farmsteads on the village square. The Church of the Most Holy Trinity and Saints Simon and Jude is originally Gothic and was remodelled in the Baroque period. It is located in the cemetery grounds on the outskirts of Dýšina along the access road from Plzeň-Doubravka; the Dýšina cemetery is also located there on the outskirts along this access road.

Several notable personalities are buried in the cemetery, including Minister Kamil Krofta. Another distinctive landmark in the village is the Patton Monument: the larger-than-life bronze statue stands in front of the primary school in Dýšina, was erected in 2005 and was created by Jaroslav Bocker. The Bílý Mill was built by Josef Bílý.

Nature and Educational Trail

The Kokotské rybníky educational trail begins in Nová Huť near Dýšina and forms an approximately 9-kilometre circular route. Along the way, 11 stations provide information about nature, history and local legends.

From Nová Huť, the Kokotské rybníky educational trail can be reached by car or bus. The bus stop is approximately 200 metres from the trailhead.

Golf

The Greensgate Golf & Leisure Resort in Dýšina has an 18-hole golf course.
