Lesov combines the history of a porcelain workshop with links to the landscape and the surrounding region. The perspective extends from the development of the town to routes and destinations in the nearby and wider surroundings.
History and Craftsmanship
Concordia Lesov was founded by Ernst Máder in 1888. After the Second World War, Concordia Lesov became part of the Karlovarský porcelán company. In 2009, Thun 1794 acquired Concordia Lesov, including the brand and technical equipment.
A guided tour was offered at the workshop in Lesov. Visitors could see the handcrafted production of a cup or saucer as well as hand-glazing.
Cycle Path
The Karlovy Vary section of National Cycle Route No. 6 runs via the settlement of Sedmidomky and past Lake Mexiko to a junction near Lesov. This junction is marked on National Cycle Route No. 6 at kilometre 21.5.
