Blaca has been inhabited since prehistoric times. On Umac, at an elevation of 483 metres, stands the largest and best-preserved tumulus; it measures approximately 17 metres in diameter and 3 metres in height. Blaca is also home to three late-medieval stone houses, about 100 metres east of the Gospe-od-Zdravlja Church.

Routes
A designated cycling route called “Blaca” leads from Širina Park in Solin along the Jadro riverside path, through Rupotine and Ninčevići to the village of Blaca. It is 9.50 kilometres long and has three rest areas, including one in Blaca. The Solinski planinarski put includes the Prijevoj Blaca at 525 metres as its seventh checkpoint. A hiking trail from Vrata kod vrha Škrabutina to Blaca is approximately 1.34 kilometres long.
The fourth edition of the international Extreme Enduro event “Game of Stones” was scheduled for 11 and 12 November; the start and finish were in the Blaca valley, and the course was 27 kilometres long.
Culture and History
The Church of Saint George on Kozjak stands in the vicinity of Blaca at an elevation of 677 metres. An old cemetery with Stećak tombstones is located there. The Gospe-od-Zdravlja Church is located in the hamlet of Blaca behind Kozjak and was probably built shortly before or after the First World War. A Mass is celebrated in the Gospe-od-Zdravlja Church on the Feast of Our Lady of Good Health. A road had been prepared to provide motor-vehicle access to this church.

Dalmatia is located in the vicinity of Blaca. The surrounding area of Blaca includes the Archaeological Museum, the Mestrovic Gallery and Diocletian's Palace. Lisac, Darišica, Kičere and Perun are also located in the surrounding area. Debela Glava and Sveti Mihovil are also nearby.
