For a different activity, the Trstena climbing area can be reached from the main road via an easy 10–15-minute walk. It has 12 climbing routes graded from 5a to 7a+. Dol is a medieval village with about a hundred residents. There are around thirty natural, shallow caves. Dol’s old Good Friday procession is 5.5 kilometres long and leads to the churches of Sv. Petar, Sv. Vid and Sv. Mihovil in the area around the village. Dol can be reached from various directions via well-maintained roads and paths.
Hrapoćuša, a traditional dish from the island of Brač, is among the village’s distinctive cultural traditions. The skills involved in preparing it have been added to the Croatian Ministry of Culture’s list of protected cultural heritage. Dol also maintains a tradition of religious folk singing that is more than 400 years old. These village traditions differ from the beaches, sports facilities and events described in Postira.
