The hinterland of Zaton is home to vineyards and plantations of Marasca cherries. An asphalt road connects the town with Šibenik, which is about 10 kilometers away.

Cuisine

The cuisine available to visitors in Zaton includes homemade products and seafood specialties. The Zatonska Pidočijada is a recurring festival by the water centered around pidoča. At the mouth of the Krka River and on the Prukljan Channel, pidoča is considered a culinary specialty.
