At Krstače in Kijevo, the remains of a Roman rural villa dating from the 3rd to 4th century AD have been preserved. The conserved villa covers 340 m²; the archaeological site is protected cultural property. It offers a tangible point of interest for anyone interested in the area’s Roman past.
Glavaš Fortress also tells of different eras: it was built within a prehistoric hillfort, part of whose earlier rampart survives. The fortress is protected immovable cultural heritage. Spasa lies at this source, in the easternmost part of the Municipality of Kijevo; it is pre-Romanesque. A monumental stećak tomb stands in the necropolis above Teskera. There are various options for active days. Hiking in Kijevo includes marked trails with difficulty ratings from 1 to 5. Trail 501 Kozjak–Kijevski bat starts in Kijevo; its starting point can also be reached by car from a hamlet via a village road. Trekking routes cross scenic hills, pass through small settlements alongside karst fields and lead to clearings. The Glavaš mountain hut is in the hamlet of Glavaš in Kijevo.
A longer mountain excursion near Kijevo leads from Glavaš via the Martinova košara shelter to the summit of Dinara. The estimated time for this route is four hours; the time required may vary depending on conditions. Since trail conditions can change, check them before setting out. This helps you plan marked shorter trails and a several-hour mountain excursion as options requiring different amounts of time.
Cycling and outdoor climbing are also possibilities. A cycling route in the Municipality of Kijevo runs through Podinarje, follows the Krčić stream and continues towards Knin.
